The Good Twins: Ryan and Dan Kowarsky
Canadian singing sensations RyanDan, identical twins Ryan and Dan Kowarsky, answer some harrowing DNA questions from Marc Andrews.
DNA: What was being in a boy band like?
Ryan Kowarsky: It was in the mid ‘90s. We were about 16 years old and called Before 4. Please don’t look it up! You know those photos you look at when you’re embarrassed? We had a good time and went double platinum in Canada and Germany, but were playing to a young audience. They didn’t really have an appreciation for voice and orchestration.
Dan Kowarsky: Our father and our older brother are opera singers, so we grew up very focused on vocals, orchestration and instruments. It was very frustrating that people didn’t focus on that.
